This is a really short and uninteresting story... but I’ll tell it anyway.
Very recently in 2017, my husband and I welcomed our first child into the world. All my life I knew I wanted three very important things, an amazing husband (check), two amazing kids (check, check), and to live successfully as a professional artist. Now at my very cliche’ lightbulb moment, when I was sleep deprived nursing my new son, I knew we would have another baby in the near future (we did!) but my life was still missing something... it was at this point already that I had become a professional comic colorist, while I still enjoy this line of work, it hasn’t been everything that I need in my career. So then basically one day I doodled a cute because kawaii things and Japanese culture is the very flavour of my soul. Kawaii Art has helped me overcome something that all artists struggle with from time to time ~ the fear. So now here I am, drawing nonsense part-time whilst I attempt to not mess up two really cute little humans. Noice.

A mother and wife. Ashleigh got the pet name “Ashii” from her loving husband. The couple, along with their two beautiful children reside in the city of Calgary, located in the prairies of western Canada.
I put my heart and soul into each and every piece of artwork I create; for my son and my daughter.
